I think the other guy, not Caleb, is really the best vocal singer. His problem is that he does not portray a lot of the IT factor....something people either have or do not have. He does not reach out to the audience, and that takes away from his performance. I think he will be kicked off tonight....Caleb and Jena have a lot more personality. I think Jena will win overall as she is very good, and versatile, Caleb is just good at loud 80's rock, and that has been done, nothing new. I think he should have been born 30 years ago....son of Meatloaf perhaps!

And now he just told Alex he's singing with Jason Mraz! In past years only the top 2 got to sing with their 'inspiration' artists. Maybe this year all 3 of them will.

Caleb has an unbelievable rock and roll voice, I agree! I really like that he's a former contestant that came back to try again, I saw his youtube clip from a few seasons back and he's soooo much better!

Funny you mention that - because he's been described as the love child of Meatloaf and Steve Perry!

I wont spoil it except to say my favorite left but fear not that person will get a record deal and wont have to worry. But I have to laugh how suddenly Caleb is all better tonight, and has no voice issues lol. Idol = always the same = pimping who they want and playing pity party to get votes for who they want. This is the first year Ive followed thru this far in a long time due to the cheesy ness Idol has become. (I was a huge fan until 3 or 4? yrs ago when it went downhill but thought Id give it a whirl this year). The Voice is 100X better with true singer song writers who are more mature, with judges who are positive, and from now on I will stick to the Voice and Adam :-)

My favorite left too and it made me sad. Have no favorite at all for the finals since my favorite contestant is gone.

We still enjoy American Idol though and are glad it's coming back next year- Harry Connick, Jr. has already said he'll be back next year and I've read that that Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez should be back also.

I know Harry irked some viewers- but (besides his silly antics with the audience) he was a real judge. Not showing favorites, plus he gave true detailed criticisms. Sometimes more than we wanted to hear! I'm glad he'll be back.

Caleb's voice wasn't any better last night than Wednesday- he didn't sing last night though! He was able to speak both nights but Wednesday spoke very little to reserve his voice to sing 3 songs. I thought it was a bit dramatic getting the 'AI doctor' on stage Wednesday with a diagnosis- it didn't affect the outcome for Lauren Alaina when Scotty McCreery won. There's no reason to think it would have an impact this year either.

It would have been nice if they mentioned Alex was under the weather too . I wonder how close it was between Caleb and Alex. DialIdol used to be a great source but with all the voting methods now- it's far from accurate.
