The View today....

All the former co-hosts were on the show for Babs' farewell. Everyone looked the same as they always did - but I thought Starr gained a lot of weight. Rosie lost a considerable amount of weight compared to old clips they showed...

I don't "get" Whoopi. She just sits there and rolls her eyes and looks bored. I wonder if she does that for attention or is she just really "bored"?????

Babs looked great. She is so photogenic too. Last night she was on Dave Letterman's show and she had a bright red pant suit on and she looked great in it . Gotta give it to her at 84. She's still a size 4 too......

Sophia.... I think Whoopi is just rude.... she knew this day was coming.... she could put her big girl panties on and let Babs enjoy it.... nobody likes someone rolling his/her eyes.

I think Whoopie is in the "if I can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" mode when she does that.

I didn't see it but wish that I did, with that many women of various ages and opinions I wouldn't think it would all be peachy.

I thought they should have divided the group and had half yesterday and half today. The group was just too big. There were a few awkward moments. Unless BW is reading directly off her cards, she gets confused.

Lisa Ling's little girl is so precious. It was fun to hear Meredith V's baby Lily is now a sophomore in college. It was a little sad to see that Star Jones' family consists of her elderly parents, grandmother and a dog. Both Debbie M and Rosie O were co-hosts fairly recently so I knew about their families. Joy and Elisabeth left just last year.

Debbie Matanopolos looked so pretty. Rosie had some form of weight loss surgery to lose 50 pounds and looked great. Meredith and Lisa were always my favorites. Once they were gone, I lost interest in the show.

NeNe the housewife does the same thing. It is SO RUDE! Makes Whoopie seem so full of herself rather than letting Barbara enjoy her moment that she so deserved.

Rosie O'Donnell had a heart attack in 2012 at the age of 52, which was one of the reasons she had the weight loss surgery. She says she feels much healthier now.

Barbara Walters has always struck me as a person who acts a little too prissy and a little too snooty for my taste. I did watch today because I wanted to see the former hosts. I didn't even notice Whoopi......I think The View will be lucky if it makes it much longer....it has gone down hill lately and maybe Whoopi knows something we don't......no excuse for her being rude, though.

I've thought the show was on its last legs for years but it keeps limping along.

Why on earth are they spending the whole week and a night time special singing Barbara's praises? At one time she was a competent journalist. It's been decades since she really did interviews about important things. The way they are carrying on you'd think she'd found a cure for cancer. I can see a one program tribute but a true journalist would be embarrassed by all of this nonsense.

ITA - Much too much..... It's like a never-ending soap. Tomorrow's View is already taped, so she is done with that - then there's a 2 hr. special at night. Then, there will be interviews now and then - forever...... (sigh)

Because she paved the way for women in journalism and the media to be taken seriously and respected.

That's an incredible legacy, and the one that means the most to her.
