For those who read "The Fault in Our Stars"…….

Looking for a good book to read, and wondering if this is a depressing book? I have medical issues of my own, and don't want it to bring me down, but the movie previews look pretty good. Your thoughts???

The book is about two teenagers who meet in a cancer support group - they both have cancer. While their spirit and attitude is positive it is a sad subject, kids with terminal cancer, so it may not be the book for you.

It's an excellent book. I wouldn't say it's not sad, but I chose to focus on the positive aspects.

I really liked this book. Yes, it's about a depressing subject. So if you only read "happy" books

it's probably not for you.

This was an amazing book to me. I, too, have serious health issues so I started it with more than a little trepidation. It was well- written, filled with some very humorous passages and I'm glad I read it. Ultimately, for me it's message is that each and every one of us is significant and every moment counts. I can't wait for the movie...

I didn't think it was depressing, but I have a medical background. My book group will be discussing this book at our next meeting...will be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.
