is just annoying the heck out of me. Yeah I can turn but I am looking at the Dell computer.

I just never noticed how often he mentions his personal life.?

I know they all do it now and then and it's ok to a point.

But in 30 mins he mentioned his daughter at college and he speaks there.. he has a band, oh here is his facebook, there is his grandson, there he is again, his first day of baseball. Gosh isnt he growing fast? oh and once again he is in a band. He's gotten very good! ugh

Ah,, maybe I am grumpy today.. but enough! Talk about the Dell!!

I like to hear about family and daily life happenings so that doesn't bother me at all. It makes them more real to me. I would much rather hear about their kids than hear a fake boring sales pitch.

Actually it is very annoying if you are actually trying to hear about the product on.

Try to pretend you want every bit of info. on an item and the host keeps wandering to his personal life.

Anyway now if we want to know any personal stuff we can just go to facebook and ask away

Actually I think people here get annoyed at such small inconsequential things it is just amazing. These poor hosts have to fill an hour talking constantly - I am betting you could not do their job.

Dan is a veteran host at qvc. I liked him the first time he was presenting one of those radar detector things for your car. He seems like a really nice guy...

I get the feeling hosts are encouraged to add all the personal talk just like the blog & Facebook sharing.I like Dan's presentations & anyway it's not easy to talk for extended times about the same ol products over & over again (:

No I could not! I think filling in dead air is hard, but he had plenty more to say about the Dell, Actually he said sorry I got behind and then went back to the product.

Many other hosts like Susan Graver who seems to annoy others. does not bother me

but today I was distracted by the personal talk, and it annoyed me so I vented. the end

He maybe a nice guy, but every time he presents an item, he acts like it's his first day on QVC! He is my least favorite host, nice guy or not!

Hey Preds.....he probably had one cup of coffee to many before starting this morning. They have to be there way before it is time for them to go on air......

I have always like him.....he is so easy going usually, and a very genteel individual.

My theory is that if you're getting annoyed at the hosts/vendors/models on QVC, you're watching way too much. You said you wanted to see the Dell presentation, so instead of watching Dan who obviously bugs you, why don't you watch the video presentation online instead? Chances are, that the host on the video will be someone other than Dan.

Neither one is a bore.....they are just 2 different personalities.....one you like, the other you don't...... They are both very much gentlemen and treat people with respect......

unfortunately that's not always true....whoever is presenting is the one who is in the video and she would have to hear all of his stories there, too....unless its presented again...then that host will show up on the video....
