Another New Winner from Trader Joe's!

I am trying to eat healthy - and have cut way down on processed foods. But I do like something sweet...

So I got the frozen fresh figs and have a half-defrosted fig in place of dessert. It's high in fiber too - DELICIOUS.

I used to get fresh figs when they are in season, but they tend to spoil quickly.

Now I can have fresh figs any time of the year with no waste.

have you tried the lemon bars yet? OMG. I love them when they are still a bit frozen..

I will have to look out for the figs - I love figs, but I only find them fresh for a couple of months (if that) out here

They are less than $3 for one pound...about HALF of what fresh figs cost!

Lemon bars sound too much like the mochi ice cream you got me hooked on! Delicious!

What's a good way to incorporate figs? I know I should be eating more......

Chobani has a great yogurt with figs and orange zest. That's one thing I'm going to use these frozen figs for.

I like Fig Newtons but have never tasted them any other way. Would like to try. Chef's on tv are always using them.

i've never had a fresh one and i'm not even sure i've seen one, in the stores. how do you eat it? do you peel and dice? seeds? now, i'm really curious. i love fig newtons, too. are they like dates?

Love all of their dried fruit packages. Thanks, I'll give the frozen figs a try. Good price, too. So many items in TJ's, including beauty products (hand cream, liquid hand and other washes, soaps, etc.).

What I like about TJ's (well, one of the many things), is that their stores are just the right size. Not too overly large, easy to drop in and find items without having to search up and down countless aisles. Also, the employees seem very nice. I love the floral dept., too. And, their excellent plastic food-quality wrap/packaging (for breads, and other items) doesn't have that chemical odor, (which the odor can seep into the bread and other items) too! I can't say enough good things about Trader Joe's.

fresh ones - I just rinse and eat the whole thing.

That sounds like something I would love. I have never seen these at Trader Joe's. In what part of the country do you live? I know they have different things on the West Coast than here on the East Coast.

Did you find them where the other frozen fruit is?

I just wish that there was a Trader Joe's in my area...the closest one is at least five hours away!!
