Big Storm Coming

We're supposed to have thunderstorms if we're lucky over the week-end, and winds up to 75mph starting tomorrow thru Monday. Southern Colorado mountains expecting snow; severe storms into central Texas and beyond. Our local weatherman just said it's going to be a rough ride. I suppose it'll head East creating tornadoes as it goes. Look out!

Just heard a warning about this storm on NBC Nightly News. Those of you in the storm's path, be very, very careful.

Well, that's probably where the storm we are expecting on Sunday through Monday will be coming from.

We had severe thunderstorms and tornado watches here in NC this afternoon, and one tornado touchdown toward the eastern part of the state. Where I am, one storm brought a real downpour and hail. I imagine some of you have seen some really big hail stones, but I'm getting on up there in age, and I've never seen hailstones the size of a quarter, but I did today! I was afraid it was going to break one of my windows, and it almost decimated my fully blooming azaleas and dogwood trees. Hope everyone will be safe this weekend.

Well if we get Sunday what they are saying we will be getting, imagine all the blooming trees will lose their flowers because of the winds. They have been so beautiful this year.

We're having storms and wind on the CA coast, too. Where was this kind of weather when we expected to have it, during our winter months? glad to get more rain, but it kind of ruins the weekend plans.

September, that's where the storm is coming from...your area. San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado predicted to get a foot of snow. These storms don't affect us as much here in NM except for the winds.

Do you who live in these places with these scary storms all have storm shelters to go to? I can not imagine living with that fear for two days! Take care!

Almost everyone here in the St. Louis area has a basement. We only go to the basement when the sirens go off....... We are presently in the tornado season now. But tornados can occur any time......
