I really enjoy Anthony Bourdain and the ""Supersize Me"" guy too...I think the new line-up may be a winner!

He seems like an interesting guy. With his prior shopping channel experience, we know he can talk for hours.

CNN is desperate to boost their low (and dropping fast) ratings. Mike Rowe is certainly better than Piers Morgan.

I don't think they're low-rated, either. I was referring to another poster here who said that, but the post seems to have disappeared. I look forward to seeing how Mike's show goes. I like the Bourdain programs, too.

Not necessarily that CNN is low rated.

That time slot has lower ratings compared to other shows. They are not drawing enough viewers at that hour (it's had trouble ever since Larry King left). No viewers = low advertising sales.

I would be more than willing to Tivo Mike's show! He did excellent work on Dirty Jobs, getting every day people to open up about what they do.

Anything is better than Piers Morgan! CNN does appear to be making some positive changes, but their ratings are still abysmal. I like the new stuff from Bourdain and Sperlock.

Mike Rowe was a QVC host many years ago. He was hilarious! He did come back once, I think, to appear on a Bob Bowersox show when he started becoming "famous."

Is this going to be a talk show? I like Rowe, so I hope he does well. I also watch the Spurlock show and have watched Bourdain in the past. I have a lot of problems with the CNN program guide in that it's often wrong and I think I'm recording something and it turns out to be something entirely different.

I also think that some folks are so deeply imbedded in the constant 'us vs them' mode that they cannot see past that to see that other channels are not all evil and bad. But it's an exercise in futility to try and even have an open-minded discussion about that, so I'll leave it at that.

That's great, I like Mike Rowe a lot.

Not crazy about Bourdain or Sperlock but would definitely give Mike Rowe a chance.
