I just wish we'd even out. In SWPA we had a high of 82 today which is almost a record for us, then a couple days from now there will be a low of 24. As mentioned in another post I have a beautiful magnolia that is almost in full bloom. I think I'll get a picture of it tomorrow before they're gone.

Last week Roswell and Carlsbad, NM, had temps of 94 degrees; tomorrow there is a chance of snow. Alamosa, Co, which is NOT in the mountains but is at 7500 ft in altitude (high desert), is predicted to have up to 16" of snow. In Albuquerque, it's overcast and we have high winds. All this mess will head East after it's finished with us, so look out!

I've heard we could even get a little snow. I don't think that's all that unusual in April but it just feels like it because of the long horrific winter.

Well, it's unusual for us, not the wind, but the possibility of snow this late.

Also, there were times that we got big snow in Colorado in May, and even once when I was little it snowed the first week of June. So, spring snow in Colorado is certainly not unusual. One day it could be warm and sunny, the next day, snow. I am now in Kansas, not much different... we had high 70's and low 80's the last few days... now it has turned gray and gloomy and we are supposed to get snow tonight into tomorrow. I truly believe some of the unusual weather patterns are due to global warming, but there is nothing strange about crazy spring weather.

I know the mountains can have snow anytime...I've seen it in July and August. By the way, I was born in Del Norte.
