Share a Happy Thought Today..... It can be anything Mine is I just opened every window in my house for the first time and there is this beautiful breeze blowing through. Sitting here in a chair just enjoying the moment , i think winter is finally over.

The sun is shining here, the flowers are starting to bloom, there is a nice breeze.... puppy just came inside from romping around in the yard.... so far it's a beautiful day, and I'll gladly take it.

I love this time of year in the early mornings when it is so quiet outside except for the sound of the birds chirping in happiness! It is just so lovely to stand there and soak in the peace and joy of another morning!

Beautiful sunshine, flowers blooming, trees budding out and a gentle breeze! Temps expected to reach low 70s today and tomorrow - HEAVEN. Like you, I have my windows open letting that wonderful breeze blow through. My cats are loving the open windows too.

The Forsythias (sp) have bloomed, the phlox have sprung in my garden, the robins are back, and DH is mowing the grass as I'm typing...Spring is finally here!

What are the trees that have all the gorgeous white blossoms on them? We have a bunch of them here and they are all in bloom. I know they aren't cherry blossoms because those are pink, but they are these full white blooms and so beautiful. Unfortunately they won't last.... the first really windy day or sudden cold snap we get, and they will be gone, but they are so lovely to look at right now.

My wife just told me that a dog that had been lost since the end of January, here in blizzard country, was found yesterday by her Organization and returned to his owner. Things don't get much happier for the both of us than these types of things.

Jules, I think you might be describing bradford pear trees. They have already bloomed here in Atlanta but so beautiful if only for a short time.

That would make my day too.

I stopped for gas and a man complimented me on the music playing in my car. I saw a group of teenagers eating ice cream cones, laughing, and having a good time, it reminded me of long ago school days with my friends.

My happy thought Saturday was- I spent the entire morning and afternoon watching my grandkids and we had a blast! (I will be watching them Saturdays off and on till Fall and when schools out 3 to 4 times a week (part time) off and on.

springtime in the Rockies---everything unexpected---beautiful Palm Sunday Vigil Mass--flowering trees blooming or almost---lots of birds nesting---yesterday there was a Sharp-shinned hawk sitting on our bird water for an hour, hunting, I think---it lives around here---and snow is predicted for tomorrow---temps in the low 40'/s so not freezing-----))

We lit our gas grill for the first time this season. Nothing like burgers and dogs on the grill and sat outside and ate. Daughter and her new puppy came by also. It was definitely a happy thoughts day.

BF and I adopted two kitties in January, from different organizations. A cat who was very friendly approached us, but we had already decided on one and couldn't bring him home too. When I searched last night, he had been adopted. Love the fuzzy points on his ears!

I took down the outside birdhouse that was falling apart yesterday and replaced it with the same cottage style, in the same color with the same features (decorative shutters). My sparrow couple refused to go anywhere near the house yesterday. This morning I looked out the window and they were both sitting on the roof and stoop of the house. I am thrilled beyond words that they've accepted the new house.

The Bradford pear is a common tree here that is one of the first plants to blossom in the spring. Is the tree pear-shaped? What do the leaves look like? Do they turn red in autumn?
