Brother #3 and husband were roommates in college and we met each other during a class weekend. We were together for almost 3 years and got married a few days after he graduated.

I was working for the courts. My now dh was hired in on another floor (lower court), but the two offices worked closely together. His office sent him up to me for something (a business matter). A couple of days later, he laid a business card on my desk and wrote on the back "I owe you". Okay, bucko, pay up. Tall dark and handsome and never been married ~ no baggage. We dated a year and celebrated out 20th anniversary last August.

How did you and your S/O meet ?

My SO other for over 30 years, who is now my wife, I met through a drag racing friend of mine. First date was to the drag races in a different city(in was summer time). Second date was to a hockey game, it was in the hockey season. And now it has been 42 years together.

We worked for the same company in Texas but 40 floors apart. We met in a bar in California while both on business trips for the company.

We just celebrated our 42nd anniversary, too, John. How's she doing with her rehab?

It's so much fun reading everyone's stories! Here's mine:

It was the summer after I graduated from college. DH had just finished veterinary school. My mom was good friends with the senior veterinary technician. Our cat was bumped by a car. She was badly hurt and needed surgery. We were all so worried about her. The vet tech was also a gourmet cook (as a hobby). He told all of the doctors he would cook them a gourmet meal if one of them would stay overnight with our cat. DH volunteered - young, single, away from home for the first time. Because of my schedule, I couldn't get up to see her before they closed. Mom's friend told me I could go up after hours as there would be "someone" there. So I went up to visit our kitty, who recovered and was in our wedding pics! Good memories!

My husband and I met on an internet dating site. It is the 2nd marriage for both of us. Been together since 1999 and married 7 years (as of this past January).
