Has anyone else noticed that shipping costs have gone down a bit?

I just noticed that the costs have been rounded off like $5.00 and $3.00. But I know that jewelry I have bought in the past had a higher shipping cost than is on Carolyn Pollack's show. I think this is a step in the right direction and I would like to think that "they" read these forums and the complaints about escalating shipping costs.

Yes, I ordered something today and was shocked to see the s&h was only $3. I wonder if they made an announcement about lowering the costs? I don't know, but I'm happy that I didn't pay the $6 or $7 I usually pay.

I know, I just noticed it in the last 2or 3 days. I did not hear any type of announcement which is kind of odd. I hope it is permanent too.

I'm glad to see that most of my packages are being delivered by UPS again and not dropped at the post office for them to deliver 2 days later.

This is great! Like someone already posted. I hope this is permanant because the regular shipping and handling costs were insane!

Don't feel bad. It wasn't there when the promotion first started. I found out by accident (ordering an item) and then noticed it involved a very large number of products, many that had been $12 or $14 (shipping fees that is) or more before the shipping price break. It was like this for a couple of days before they put the banner up on the page.

The short-term shipping reduction is nothing more than a gimmick. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that it's reduced for even that period of time, but QVC needs to take a tip from HSN.

When I'm checking out the shopping channels, I frequently go from Q to HSN. Very often, HSN has free S&H. I saw their CEO on CNBC last year and she said that increasing the free S&H offers was one of their goals; it shows.

On the other hand, I noticed someone hawking drain-clearing packets this morning on QVC at 20 bucks plus $5 S&H. Throw in the tax, and you're looking at $4.40 each. No thanks.

QVC's shipping and handling fees are outrageous and, with others looking to eliminate them for an increased number of items, QVC's no longer going to be competitive in that area.
