Mr Selfridge tonight

On masterpiece theatre tonight . our local channel is repeating the final episode of last year from 8PM to 9 PM then the first of the new season at 9 PM. So happy when masterpiece is on.We missed the final episode last season so this will be 2 hours of new shows for us.

I'm glad to see it back. I love looking at the styles of the time and how the store and homes looked.

I stopped watching last season midway. I think the actual story is more interesting than the version they're portraying.

We love this show, but we did see a documentary of his life so that changes it somewhat for us.

Every time I walk into a dept store I think of him. He pioneered so many firsts from dept store makeup counters to celebrity appearances to attract customers. A true visionary.

Our PBS station has all three episodes of The Bletchley Circle! Maybe it is a misprint in the newspaper.

Our cable went out due to thunder storms and I had no TV last evening. Oh well. I guess i am not meant to see that final episode from last year.

I buy these great masterpiece classics. This way I can watch when I want. I watched the entire last season and now I am prepared for next Sunday's debut. I am hoping it will be as good as last year. I wasn't, however, impressed by the sneak preview last week too much.

it's supposed to be a new series.

It wasn't on our PBS channel here......we had Sherlock Holmes repeats......

I'm not going to read any more on this thread because I don't want my viewing of Mr. Selfridge to be out on the boards before I watch it.....
