American Idol- for those who watched last night

My husband and I just finished watching last night's show. I'll tell you... I just love Alex. I thought his performance of the One Direction song "Story of My Life" was just terrific. I think he's my favorite. I remember during Hollywood week him saying that he's shy and that it's hard for him to put himself out there and do this American idol thing, in front of so many people. He's out of his comfort zone and he's doing it anyway. Good for him. I think he's terrific.

Alex isn't bad but only Caleb has a shot at winning imho. The entire group is nothing to write home about and I'm disappointed........

I am with Sydney....go Caleb..a lot of them were stinkers last night. I didn't watch last week, but DH said last week was the best as they were all trying to get into the top ten. maybe they were too pooped to perform this week....

i think that caleb and dexter are pretty darn good.

i think the guys seem to be stronger than the girls this season.

Same here, SydneyH. I was getting real tired of hearing the "Boo" from JLo last night every time Harry was commenting. IMO, that's unprofessional and childish. At least if Keith disagrees with Harry, he waits until it's his turn to speak.

Obviously, I'm not a JLo fan, but it seems to me that she thinks she's the "spokesperson" and tries to override the conversation, along with all the camera time she gets. Maybe that's in her contract.

As for Alex, he was great last night, but DH and I are really liking Caleb. As for the girls, I couldn't choose one that I really like.

I read online in several places (yes, I know, don't believe everything you read online) that JLo is being a terrible diva this year and doesn't allow people to speak directly to her. They have to speak to her assistants. It seems to be an ongoing thing with her. It seems Harry doesn't like that and I don't blame him.

JLo's song just now - just simply awful! IMO

I simply don't understand that practice, or people that don't look you in the face when they are addressing you directly. Kinda creepy.
