Daily Vent - 3/16/2014

Well, it is early here in Nebraska and I woke up with snow on the deck. Today, I want to vent about a nameless lady who spent all day Saturday playing on her computer doing her genealogy and posting on boards INSTEAD OF CLEANING HER HOUSE!

Do you have anything you'd like to get off your chest?

Why do we give complaining a better name. Such as Vent. Venting is complaining.

yes. i myself do agree. we should have a daily gratitude journal thread. sharing of for what we have thankfullness. each day. (-:

I find private journaling is a way better and satisfying way to vent and get things off your chest.

Someone mentioned yesterday that it would be nice to have a daily vent thread and JJ supplied one. Someone else could supply a daily joy thread if they like. There can be fun in both.

Venting. Talking is coping mechanism that allows a person to rationalize and validate their own fears, concerns ,worries, dreams and hopes.

Venting the Verb:

provide with an outlet for air, gas, or liquid.

If you want a daily gratitude thread...start one.

If journaling works for you...great.

Yeah, I am upset.

Instead of the wearin' of the green tomorrow it will wearin' of the snow.

It was in the 70's here yesterday, sunny and absolutely lovely. Tomorrow, we are forecast for 6" of snow...right during the morning rush.

Try to be thankful for everyday I wake up with a roof over my head, hot coffee in the pot, lights, food and such. Just have gratitude, and give thanks. Works much better than venting and just concentrating on the negative. There is SO MUCH positive in our lives to give thanks for. Having an opinion on subjects is fine, both good and bad, but, when looking at your life, just try to look at the good.

I agree with being thankful for what we have; however, IMO, there's nothing wrong with a venting thread. As someone said on the original JJ vent thread on Saturday, some people don't have anyone to vent to. I don't see the harm.

I also happened to see your original post before you edited it and it started out as "I do not vent"..., yet you have a thread about your unhappiness of the Muppets. I don't understand the difference as that appears to be venting IMO.

I do not think it is against the rules to EDIT MY thoughts and put them more clearly, I decided to say instead that I try not to vent about my life and look at the good. To say I do not vent was incorrect SO I EDITED THAT INCORRECT statement. I am not unhappy about the MUPPETS... they do not make me happy or unhappy I just do not find them useful in my life today. I do not want to see them period. As a child perhaps...but not as an adult. You seem to put your thoughts into what I say? Turn things around... Again, I said to give your opinion of subjects good or bad is fine.... I just do not vent about the bad things in my God given life. I try to see the good IN MY LIFE. What other people do or want to dwell on it their business.
