Nat Geo Broadcast From Space Tonight

NEW YORK (AP) - National Geographic Channel is targeting a subject that's literally over our heads, bringing it down to Earth in an ambitious two-hour special.

Airing Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific, "Live From Space" will originate from the International Space Station with American astronaut Rick Mastracchio and Koichi Wakata, who's Japanese, as on-board correspondents. (It will air on National Geographic Channel in 170 countries in all, on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and on the Spanish-language Nat Geo MUNDO network.)

The main reason this holds interest for me is the tour of the space station and somewhat the challenges of daily living.

I think we need a meteorologist up there. Can't miss what is going on with the clouds and storm formation.

I tried but just couldn't stay focused on it. Maybe when they do a marathon I'll spend the time and watch all the episodes at once.

Darn it how did I miss this post? I would have watched it. I watch the space station fly over our home every night that it is posted that we can see it. If you watch it you will see a white light in the sky and when they tell you that you can see it a t 8:12pm you better be out side to see it then because that is exactly the time it will fly over. What ever the time is posted that is the exact minute you will see it. Love that space station.

We've seen it a few times when I can remember to check the time and it is just amazing, isn't it ?

We have been watching it for a couple years now. In fact I have all our family and friends looking at it. Its nice to be out on the deck in the summer and just sit and wait for it but we have been out with winter coats standing in the snow to see it. glad you enjoy seeing it. I just missed this post that this program was going to be on I must have been over on the missing plane one.

We have really enjoyed seeing it. I need to check for tomorrow's time since it'll be warmer.

It was especially neat to see it go by when we were in Gulf Shores at my Gram's.
