I'm having guests this afternoon and I bought two bottles of white zinfandel wine. I decided to open one of the bottle just to "taste" the wine. I used a good wine opener, but when I lifted the arms of the opener only part of the cork was removed and the other part of the cork went inside the bottle of wine.

What should I do? Run to the liquor store and get another bottle or pour the wine by the counter near the frig and serve the wine to the guests on a tray. What if it tastes of cork? Is that a possibility? Oh Please help me. I still have time to go to the store, but that was an expensive bottle of wine. Any suggestions? Please?

I will ask one of the guests open the second bottle.
