Audrey Meadows played Alice in The Honeymooners.

Sheila Macrea, wife of Gordon Macrae, played Alice later on The Jackie Gleason Show in the 1960s.

I had forgot they brought back the show in the 60's She was the 2nd Alice.

Thought so. The L.A. Times billed her as Alice also. Married to Gordon MacRae and her daughter was Meredith from the old 'Petticoat Junction' series. She was Bobby Jo.

Sorry, to hear of her passing.. I think she played one of the daughters in the show "petticoat junction"? Only a few episodes then she was replaced by someone else.

The part of Alice was played by Shelia Macrae back when Jackie Gleason had his variety show in the late 60's it was a 15 minute sketch all the other regular actors were in it except Audrey Meadows. Good call .

Remember Sheila doing a I Love Lucy guest spot in the Hollywood Fashion Show episode.

Daughter Meredith died very young of a brain tumor.

Meredith passed away at age 56. ""Very young"" means a child to me.
