    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thought of posting this on the Beauty Board but figured I'd be run out of town.  (May be here too)  But here goes anyway....Returning used makeup.   Never have,  never will.   If I hate the color I figure that's my mistake and toss it out.    I think companies are way too lenient on their return policies.    No wonder everything is so high.       <description>I would be embarrassed to return used makeup. The only time I can ever remember returning it was when a foundation gave me welts on my face and I wanted a complaint put in about it. The welts were visible when I returned it so they were very quick to take it back. However, when I make a mistake with something like lipstick, or color cosmetics I just toss them.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What QVC sells is not cheap so yes I have returned orders of make up before because it broke my face out or I just didn't like it. If the company does not have the policy of throwing out returned products of this nature then that's on them. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Depends. Last Sunday I bought some MAC powder foundation. The sales guy applied it in the store. Next morning at home I put it on and it is wayyy too light and 'white'. I'm taking it back and exchanging for the right shade. If I buy drugstore stuff and select it myself, I wouldn't. That would be my mistake. I think this was HIS mistake as he is the MAC expert.</description>

That's happened once.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;If I just decide I don't like the color, I chalk it up to my own mistake. I've thrown away many drug store eye shadows and liners because they under-performed either in color pay-off or staying power.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I returned a Mac foundation to Macy's. It was expensive, and I tried it a few times, and just found that it didn't look good or feel good on me. They advertise that you can do this, so they have to follow through if they sell you a product that isn't right for you.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've gotten MU from QVC, it was awful and I returned it within the 30 days.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I've also bought MU at Rite Aid, the lights really distorted the color and per their policy I returned it for another shade.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;If returns are advertised and they stand by their products then I'll certainly will be satisfied with my purchase.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think they have that policy to get people to trust buying makeup through the mail.  Even with that policy, I hesitate buying lipstick through the mail.  I'm just way too picky about the shade.  If it's not exactly right, I won't wear it.  So I usually buy that in person so I can see it, and hopefully try it, before I buy it.   &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;That said, I rarely return anything to QVC myself.  I just try to pick the best I can and then use it.  If I don't like something, I just don't buy it again.  It just a hassle to send things back, but if it was something really expensive and really wrong for me, I would probably send it back.  &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;The only thing I contemplated returning was some eyeshadow from IT and that was because I had ordered lipliners not eyeshawdows.  I called QVC about it and they told me I could send them back.  But my daughter saw them and wanted them, so I just kept them instead.       <description>&lt;P&gt;The only time it bothers me for returns of ANY product is when people buy things specifically to wear once, or for a special occasion, and they return.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I had a coworker once who did this with clothes, handbags, jewelry and makeup.  She bought and returned at Nordstrom, Macy's and other stores.  She knew how to "hide" the tags while wearing the dress or blouse.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;She got away with it.  I saw it with my own eyes.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;If people return things for legit reasons...ill fitting, makeup doesn't look.good or cause a reaction, etc., then it doesn't bother me at all.  These are the vendor's policies and I don't see why it should bother me.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;However, since this is an unknown, I don't waste my time stressing out over what "other people" might be doing. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>
