Does any one use Melelucea?

I think this is how it is spelled............anyway my elderly friend wants to send me a catalog but I think this company is expensive.........if you buy do you like it? Cost for membership? Do you buy each month? What are you favorite products? Thank you.

Run away...quickly. It is a complicated system of you having to sort of contract to buy a certain amount of things to get the discount and you HAVE to buy that much every (time period) so they set you up for like auto delivery or something .

I don't remember the exact details but I got the info not too long ago. I think the products are good but I can see it costing a LOT of money.

You should always go here first - www.bbb.org - to check out the Better Business Bureau's reviews and rating of businesses, charities, etc..

Searching Google for"'reviews of (name)" also helps.

It's always smart to proceed with caution if you're not really familiar with a company.

Do not become involved with this company. Tell your friend that you are on a fixed income and that you cannot afford to join ANY company. It is a pyramid thing and they play on your emotions and friendships to cooerce (spelling?) you into joining. Just say NO right away and avoid future troubles with your friend.

LOL.....you must be talking about DoTerra ?......amazing how rumors get around and people assume things before they know.....there is no " coercion" and no "playing on your emotions" LOL.......you don't have to join anything, you can buy one item , or ten items, or no items !...it's a good honest company with high standards and high quality products. They sell memberships for those who want to get the products wholesale. I take their supplements and love them. (Btw,Melaleuca is tea tree oil )

Thank you hennypenny and all that posted. I won't be joining. I will tell her it is not in my budget. Her son got into it and she loves it and my other elderly friend bought $70-80 worth and she said she would not do it again. Thank you for letting me know.

She emailed me that she sent me a catalog today with her son's telephone number but I told her that I am on a budget that is small..........and she said she understood.

I just want to add to this conversation that you should never use this product or any kind of Tea Tree oil if you have cats. It's toxic to them.

I guess Melaleuca is a good company, but I have a couple personal observations. I just recently cancelled a short-term membership.

There is a membership fee...I think it's $29?? We got a "special" at $1 through some friends. I told the friends I could not promise to stay a member.

The products are expensive when compared to comparable brands. You can get "preferred customer" prices (which I still think are high in most cases) only if you maintain your membership and buy things that add up to a certain amount of points each month....products usually totaling $50-60, plus shipping.

If you "forget" to place an order by the due date in a given month, you will automatically be shipped and charged for your "back up" order - an assortment of things you set up as your back up order when you enroll.

When I decided to cancel, I had to do so via mail. You can't do it online, or by phone. You have to fill in their required form and then fax or mail it to them. I don't have a fax, so I mailed it.

It may be a good company, but it was not what I wanted to be involved with.
