Daylight Savings Time this weekend

I love when we change to DST, but now it just seems weird to do so while so many of us are still in the midst of winter. I guess I associate more evening light with spring and being able to be outside longer.

Anyone else feel the same?

I was so surprised when I got the alert, DST was so early and yes, I feel like you do. We still have a foot of snow on the ground. (sigh)

YIKES! I almost forgot. Seems like it should be later. Thanks for posting this. And the ""Spring Forward"" is important....you're uber late to everything if you forget....and I speak from experience!!

I am so excited I could do cartwheels.

I detest it being dark shortly after I get home in the evenings. It makes it very tough to walk my dogs.

Now that won't be an issue!

Love DST in the evenings but it makes it dark until about 7:30 in the mornings, until the daylight starts to stretch out. I agree I would love if DST was all year long.

People do not need to change clocks in the United States all they need to is change the times they get up and they go to bed. Since a good many businesses now operate 24/7, unlike when I worked night shifts, people can do most anything at any time of the day/night.

Want more daylight hours? Get up earlier in the day?

I am more than capable of changing how I functions and at what hours of the day than some bureaucrat deciding what hours of daylight will work better for me.

You like what you like but I see no reason for everyone in those time zones to have to "do the deed twice a year" to satisfy and ever decreasing number or this population.

I walk my dog around 5AM every day...it's almost always dark at that hour...now it will be even colder and darker!

I think it is one of the greatest things in the world for working people! You can't just change your schedule if you work--that's not an option! But now we will have a little more light to chase away the gloom of winter. I LOVE it.

I can't believe so many people are simply put out of sorts by a mere hour change! LOL!!! I don't think ""adjusting"" could possibly be a big deal.

Good, now my kitchen clock on the wall will be the correct time again. I never did change it when we "fell back" because I have to get up on a ladder. It's the only clock in the house I rarely bother changing. I am surprised it is already this weekend though. I'm just happy that the days of light get longer and it stays light later. Bring on summer nights! (although some spring would be nice in between too)
