He Aint Dead Yet!

Have you heard this amazing story, about the guy who was declared dead, but came back to life just as he was about to be embalmed?

If it were me, when I saw that body bag start to move, I would have screamed and ran out of there fast!

Also, what do they tell the grieving family?

"Yeah, you know how your dad just died?

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, not so much."

"What?"

"He's not so dead."

Then, when he really does die, I can just imagine the family saying, "Are you sure? Are you really, really sure?"

If the coroner pronounced him dead @ 9pm Thursday & they discovered his movements the next morning...caused by his pacemaker starting again...I wonder how long he was without oxygen? I hope this isn't a repeat of brain-dead, vented body story. Family members "said" he was commenting on this, but....I dunno. Weird story, yes.

At the mortuary, pacemaker started up again.

That got the heart beating again.

Which got him to moving again.

I'm glad he is alive but when I saw the story it gave me the creeps! This is not the first time this happened either.

Thursday night I went to see the production of Spamalot, so when I saw this news item, I immediately thought of the song "He Is Not Yet Dead," from the musical. Not to make light of the seriousness of the situation, but it just came to mind.

I am so happy for that family. They have time now to have felt just how sad it was to loose this man, and get a miracle to have him back, no matter how little time it might be. I know it will change many of their lives and how they embrace life, knowing that it can be gone at any time. I know there are so many of us who have lost love ones and would be thrilled had something similar allowed us to spend just a little more time with someone we loved.

What I meant is that if the pacemaker is making his heart pump blood but otherwise the man is dead then he would not be moving. Moving his body involves his brain which would no longer be operational if he were actually dead.

I don't see it as simple at all. I see it as criminal.

This is about a Dog, but, a few years back, I had my Cat at the Vet, and the Vet was talking about a Dog, I believe in California. The Dog got out of its yard and was hit by a car, seriously injured. A Police Officer came by, saw the Dog, felt he was terribly suffering and badly injured, shot him to end his suffering. Dog was taken to animal control and put in cold storage, pending notification of an owner. 2 Hrs later, the Vet went to the freezer, found the Dog alive and standing up in its bag. This was actually back in 2003. The Dog made a remarkable recovery.

Okay, so if it's simple, then please explain how the pacemaker randomly stopped working and suddenly started working again...pacemakergeist? Haunted pacemaker battery?
