The Condado section of San Juan. The hotels, restaurants are great. Its alo a short ride to Old San Juan.

If you really like Old World charm and elegance, try the El San Juan.

Vieques also has nice resorts and beaches. This may be what you're looking for because it's not anything like the city.

I will be in San Juan on business in early April and thought maybe I would add 4-5 days to spend on the beach with my husband. My understanding is the beaches in San Juan are not great so hoping for some calm, out of the way destination. TIA!
