Anniversary

Today is the anniversary date of Grady's passing (my beautiful blue Persian cat). I know some of you my recall that he was quite the beautiful but elderly gentleman whose life gave me 19 years of happy. I feared I was going to cry all day but I felt uplifted by a call from his veterinarian asking if I was ready for another feline, and who assured me we had made the right decision to euthanize him when we did because he was definitely suffering pain, seizures and still trying to maintain his nobility.

What anniversary is it--one week or what? So, are you getting another kitty? There are so many that need homes.

I remember Grady (I always loved his name) -- he was a wonderful, cherished cat who had a great Cat Mom who took excellent care of him.

anniversary means year. It is one year.

Thank you so much. It is nice that we have other cat lovers to understand the heartbreak. If one has not suffered it, they don't understand. Thank you!!!!!!!

Anniversaries are SO hard. I understand your pain. What a wonderful doctor you have. I think our vet worries about me because I've lost most of my fur kids in the last few years. She often asks me if I'm ready to adopt again. Your Grady is in good company waiting for us at the bridge. Thinking of you today. Bless you.

thank you so much, Grandkidsgreat. I appreciate your thoughts. Yes, we too have lost several during the past few years. I am now having a relapse of my MS and have chosen not to take on any more pets at this point, not because I don't love them but my husband has cardiac issues and with my new relapse of MS, I don't think it would be fair to a kitty or to us, and not our dog, who thinks she is a human and would want to control the cat, and cats of no stripe will allow a dog to control them, if at all possible.

Sending you a caring hug today... anniversaries can be very hard. Your vet was very kind to remember and to phone you, what a nice thing to do. Grady took your love with him to the bridge and he will hold on to it and wait for you.

Sorry to hear you're having a relapse of MS. It makes everything else that much more difficult to handle. Hope your husband is doing okay. I've been away working and need to catch up on Pet Lovers. The anniversary of the death of one of our furbabies is painful. My heart still aches for my girl Sugar, and for those from years ago. It still feels almost like yesterday altho she's been gone for a year and a half. I dread the day when the inevitable happens and one of my other pets has to cross the bridge. Sending hugs and warm thoughts.
