How Many Have Had Their Valentine's Day Spoiled?

With the awful weather, a shortage of road salt and unsafe roads many couples will be house bound, but that might not be so terrible. We may have lots of babies by Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ha I said the same thing! There will be a lot of babies being born this year lol. Our Valentines wasn't ruined because we went out to dinner last night before the storm. We haven't exchanged gifts yet but we only exchange cards and flower and or candy. To me going out was fine with me. (It was Italian style!).

My husband hedged his bets and brought me flowers yesterday before the storm hit.

I feel bad for the florists!

(we have dinner plans for Sat night, so hopefully we can find the main road by then)

I'm thinking about the canceled restaurant reservations, the flowers that won't/can't be delivered and the bakeries left with undelivered goodies.

We have tickets to the Opera tomorrow night - and are hoping to go.

We used the snow blower and plow attached to the riding lawnmower - to clear our long pipestem driveway of 12+ inches of snow.

So unless we get another onslaught, we are good to go.

I'm just bummed because my son's small class decided to combine with another class for a Valentine's party, so I went out and bought double Valentine's cards and candy gifts for the kids, double teacher/aide gifts, and I made him write them all out. Also I ordered two dozen cupcakes which I don't know if I should cancel or not. I have to decide really soon about the cupcakes or it will be too late - I wish I had a clue about school tomorrow. Sigh.

I follow some of the local businesses and received one from our florist - their request is that if anyone is expect flowers tomorrow and eating at o e of the local restaurants - to please request the flowers delivered there. There are roads which aren't clean yet, let alone the driveways. We already received more than 14 inches aaaaaaand we're going to get another 6inches tonight. Oh and another four inches Friday into Saturday.
