just thought i would share this here. i also posted it on a beauty forum post. i know how the subject of vaccines always creates some controversy, but here is what rick tosh (birkenstock vendor) posted on facebook about his tongue cancer.

i was just reading a post from the vendor who is the birkenstock representative on qvc, rick tosh.....he also has had tongue cancer. here is his post via facebook:

Around Thanksgiving I felt one of my lymph nodes was swollen in my neck, of course as a hypochondriac I went to my ENT and he said I was probably fighting something and to give it a week to go away. Well it didn't and a biopsy found it had cancer in it. Pathology determined it was from an HPV virus that had been in the back of my tongue that turned into cancer. I've had 2 surgeries since 12/23...one to remove 71 lymph-nodes in my neck (only 1 had cancer thank god) and the other 1/21 to removed a chunk of the back of my tongue where the HPV virus lived and turned into cancer. Safe to say I'd need a few pair of hands to count how many women I've been with in my life so who knows where & when I got it (nothing to be proud of). Happy to say they removed the cancer and it's been no picnic...all that's left is a bit of radiation to be safe. I'm always very lite & don't get too personal on FB but I say this in the paper today...If sharing this helps you, or your significant other, or your children get tested, get the shots, or be more careful I'd be so glad that I did that. #HPVISNOJOKE & it's happening around us...I just went through it. How bout them apples?
