What is about Lisa R that gets so much responses?

Love her or hate her there is always a thread on her. I have joined in and posted myself. Whether it's her hair, her vacation, her lifestyle, her lipliner and it goes on and on. The physoclogicical ( I know I misspelled that) aspect of this is fascinating.

She is an A-Lister to Q viewers, so people like to talk about her. No one outside of the QVC universe knows or cares about her. I find it amusing actually.

Why is it that whenever someone does not care for someone else, it is chalked up to jealousy? Maybe some people just don't care for her . . .

I think it's because if you don't care for someone, you have no interest in wasting your time discussing them. If you're jealous, however; you've got some issues and on some level it makes you feel better to keep trashing them in endless threads.

There are just so many in need of a friend. They decide on one, in this case lisa, and they project just about every quality of their idealized fantasy onto her, dig their heels in, and fight tooth and nail to protect it.Even when there really is no threat there, they just perceive there to be one. It fulfills unmet needs. Like hero worship in many cases, but certainly not all. There are so many needy people. Anyway, this feeds the people who have a need to torment them, once they figure out what gets their goat. And then the hair flies.

It is very interesting human behavior. Especially the jealousy indictment. Very real, but not the basis for all criticism by any means. But so predictable....Wait for it, wait for it.... "you are jealous". There you have it.

It didn't take long for the jealousy card to be played.

What about those who worship her? Isn't it a bit ... creepy?

I do think a lot of the hatred towards her is ridiculous, but so is the fawning and worship.

I have yet to figure this one out. There seems to be a huge 'I hate Lisa R and everything about her' contingency here. I always thought she seemed lovely and well-informed as to the products she presents.

That said, however, I watch very VERY little QVC anymore, and for the past few years.

I think there's a huge difference between worshiping someone and just being a fan. LR is a darned good salesperson and I think she has some loyal fans. I don't see them as worshiping her or thinking of her as a pseudo-friend. Admittedly, though, I avoid most host threads, so I haven't read each and every post on her. I'm not sure why I even opened this one.

I don't think they are admiring her salesmanship. Sorry, not buying that. But they do use that as a conscious reasoning.

Being a good salesperson means that your customers come to trust you at your word. Add in a little girl talk and a joke here and there and you've got fans. Some people just find her enjoyable to watch and there's nothing wrong or creepy about that.

I could care less about her but when I do happen to turn it on, she is always admiring herself in the camera. I change the channel.

I agree, there is nothing creepy about those who enjoy watching her. Same for the other hosts. It's when it is taken to the next level, as I already referred to above.

We all have our likes and dislikes. We should recognize that in each other, if we can, and not jump to defend to the point of attack, anyone who disagrees.

I never comment on Lisa......frankly because I don't really care. But since you asked, here is why I think she is so polarizing. Everything about her is phony. From her exaggerated and over the top makeup and hair....to her fawning all over herself in the monitor......to her fake gushing over products that you just know she wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

More power to her. She makes loads of money, seems to love her job, and looks like she has a fun life.
