My dad managed to hit his hand early this morning on a sharp table corner, and because of his tissue paper thin skin, cut a vein on the back of his hand. Blood everywhere... finally after an hour and lots of ice cold compresses, I got the bleeding stopped and got him bandaged up without a trip to the ER. He is okay and to me that is a very good thing. Old people can be a challenge.

Oh yeah, and it's not snowing again... yet.

Julies I am so glad your dad's hand is OK and you spared him a trip to the ER. You're a good daughter taking care of him.

Oh Jules that can be scary. I have noticed that when I hit my hands now I get those old age bruises.....and when my Mr. Lucky gets my hand I have a hard time stopping the bleeding. I do take some meds that have thinned out my blood.....but fortunately I have never had to make a trip to the ER.
