I know I will be happy when it's

all over...... I'm talking about "Super Bowl"...... And, actually I know I am tired of hearing of it on every channel on TV......

There is one thing I don't understand......why isn't it being held in one of the 2 stadiums of the 2 winners? Why is it being held where it is.....all the way across the country????

I for one can hardly wait for baseball season to begin.......

I think cities go into a drawing if they want to have the Super Bowl.

I enjoy the SuperBowl. The "where" of it is awarded to a city long before they know who will be in it, unlike baseball.

Because they don't know ahead of time who will be playing and they need time to plan, including the half time show.

Sure glad they don't do that with baseball come World Series time....... They at least play in both of their stadiums (AL and NL).......

It's income for the "hosting" city. I dislike football, but it is tradition. Just like baseball, hockey, etc. Jump into the spirit of the game.

I believe the Superbowl is ususally held in a warmer climate location or at least where there is a domed stadium, considering the time of year it is played. I don't give a rat's patoot about football or the superbowl.

I do, however, LOVE the Clydesdale commercials.

Ok, so the hype is for all that goes on around the game......not the game itself, or the teams playing, unlike it is in baseball..... World Series is all about the winners that are playing.....as it should be.

baseball puts me to sleep most of the time

the superbowl is a single game. you can't deliberately have it at one of the team's home stadiums because it would be an unfair adavantage. it's different with the world series which is a series of games.

I'll be glad when the Olympics are over and we don't have to sit on pins and needles waiting for some tragedy to occur.

Show Me - I am a baseball fan too. I was born and raised on the near north side of Chicago so you know which team I root for. I will be at Wrigley Field opening day shivering in my boots but I will be there. Sure I will catch a few Cubs - Cards games through the season too.

I used to be a loyal Cubbie. Something happened over the last 10 years and I can't get that excited anymore. I do still watch some of the playoffs.

I will be anxious once spring training starts.....and that's just around the corner.

Of course I know which team you root for coming from Chicago. And if the weather doesn't take a big change, yes, you will be shivering in your boots on opening day. Hope you join in on some of the threads on baseball this season.

I can understand how come you are feeling that way. They were in a rut for several years....and hopefully they will do better this year. They have always been great rivals of the Cardinals......the Cubs and Cinci Reds....... But do believe the Cubs did better this last season than they were doing previously. Think many Cubs fans we feeling what you have been feeling.

Bikerbabe -- more and more I'm thinkin' we were separated at birth. The '69 Cubs were my team. Now I don't even recognize the Cubs. If they demolish Wrigley Field, I'm done.

I was a fanatic and now I admit I don't watch any professional sports if I can help it. The players' bad behavior has ruined it for me. When I crave sportsmanship, I watch the Little Leaguers.
