I don't eat it but according to my local market I can get 20 two pound lobsters for $300.

@Momofdogs Well, if you're willing to go down to the docks between 4-5 am you will be able to get **live** lobsters restaurants do not want for FREE!

That is if you're lucky enough to live near "shipping ports."

We don't eat lobster or fish either but I do know enough to know that price is ridiculous.

I know how to clean a lobster, even the skinny legs, myself. Its half the fun of eating them if you ask me.

I would eat all 2lbs myself in about 7 minutes if it was already shelled.There goes $300.

@Momofdogs At our favorite hangout restaurant (very casual), weekend special every week is lobster tails...$30 for 2 nice sized tails with 2 sides.

Last Saturday I bought about 1/2 lb of shelled lobster meat from Stew Leonard's here in CT. I think I spent $22. It was glorious LOL! I think they are having some kind of lobster fest because they've been selling cold lobster rollls for $12.99 and $15.99 (depending on the size). On the weekends, you can get them hot with butter. I am a lobster freak so I'll be going back for more. I prefer them shelled so that I can just put them in melted butter.
