It is not these tops, several other lines are thin too. When you can see the color of the pant showing or the pockets on a pant showing as contrast? Not a good look.

In my opinion, yes, liquid knit tops are thinner than they once were. Several years ago I did a closet purge for donation. I hope others got to enjoy many liquid knit tops that I got rid of. Like straight out of a movie, Gone With the Wind maybe? I actually said out loud "as God is my witness, I will never buy another liquid knit top". So now, since I swore to Heaven, I feel like I can't get any more. I did buy the TSV, though 😄

I do think they are thin. I buy them anyway and am wearing one today. I know you can get polyester and spandex tops at many places. The fabric really is not that special, no matter how many times Susan will tell us it is. I like the fit and the prints (not all the prints though). If I like it, I buy it. I have bought several recently.

I won't buy Graver liquid knit tops. They are too thin revealing every lump and bump. Basically you can get this fabric anywhere. I don't like the look of polyester head to toe.

I do wear her pants in liquid knit. I find them great for summer work days. I purchased the TSV in black and green.

Yep. Thinny thin thin. They were far more substantial many years ago. These days they’re paper thin and way long. Not a fabric or style that appeals to me personally.

Many years ago (17 or so years ago) she sold a black lace mock neck, sleeveless, slim fit sheath dress, knee skimming length. The dress was lined in black tricot and the lace was a stretch lace of impeccable quality. I purchased that dress and to this day it is one of my verrrrry favorite purchases I have ever made. I have worn it to weddings, funerals and graduations. It’s a stunner and I feel my very best when wearing it. I saw it on Brenda during the presentation and since I’m built like her, I knew I had to have it. SG is a better designer than her garments show.

She made a super flattering dress, timeless and high quality. I wish she would challenge herself to create things like she used to. Liquid knit (poly/span) does not showcase her far reaching talent. She is honestly pretty great.

I stopped buying mostly because a small being 27" is just too long on me. I have bought a few times but I end up not wearing them because they just hang on me and too long. I imagine they are great for traveling because they do not wrinkle, but that is the only reason I would buy liquid knit.

I find that there's a great deal of difference in different tops, pants, dresses that all say they're liquid knit. It's a little frustrating because I love liquid knit if it's the thicker, smoother type.

SG has Modern and Essentials both of which ARE thinner (and cost less) than traditional Liquid Knit which is still available.

I recently bought 'Liquid Knit' and it is not see through and the same weight it has always been.

If it says Modern or Essentials, expect thinner material.

I have a lot of tank tops and the ones that give me the most discomfort during really hot days are the cotton tanks regardless of the maker. Susan's original liquid knit tops don't stick to you during those hot days, a huge difference in the way they perform and shocking when I realized it.

The butterknit version of her liquid knit is beefier than the regular liquid knit, problem being she offers one style of elbow-sleeve length top in it. Only recently she has a couple of prints in butterknit, mostly it's in solid colors. The elbow-sleeve length top is not my favorite, looks a little dowdy to me, I prefer the sleeve to be a regular short sleeve length.

Her rayon allure knit fabric is very thin and really shows the lumps and bumps. If you don't like thin fabric, don't buy the rayon allure knit.
