Fascinating Weather Event

Last night in the DC Metro area we had severe thunderstorms roll through before sundown.

After the storms cleared the area from DC to Baltimore had the sky turn to an amazing shade of red/orange. Some areas had rainbows, sometimes double rainbows.

I have seen beautiful, amazing pictures come through of the event.

Must have been the setting sun reflecting off the low storm clouds. Very pretty effect.

@Kachina624 Not sure about the meteorological issues involved.

I walked into my bedroom last night while it was happening and everything was bathed in the red/orange colors. It proved to be a bit surreal.

I probably was not the only one thinking Jesus was on his way back.
