Good luck using your 25% off coupon!

Tried to buy a pair of D&C pants. Regularly $60. Now $42. Does not say clearance, sale price, as is or lunchtime. Would not accept it so I did a chat with customer service. No luck. Even though they don't say "sale price", it's a lower price so I can't use it. I have been a loyal customer since the early 90's. I am retired and will be looking else where from this point on. If they want to lose a long standing customer over $10.50, so be it.

some companies use the coupon discount offers in such a manipulative way. They put so many exclusions on them it becomes a game to see if you can make it work. That is ridiculous and insulting to the customers.

I received a very lengthy, extremely detailed, extensive survey yesterday in my email from QVC. There were several opportunities to weigh in on their discounts, promos etc. Also a couple questions whether QVC makes me feel valued as a customer. I let them know my honest thoughts.

Know exactly what you mean, I can't tell you how many times I have tried to use a coupon and had to call customer service because it was not accepted.

I was told there was one reason or another, even if it was just a 'sale' item.

Very discouraging, it's almost as if they are trying to lure us in to purchase something.

But the good news is that QVC is having some great sales lately!

I have never received a coupon that did not have limits or exceptions.

Honestly, they need to look at what they are offering. Several days ago I saw an item, going fast...put it on my wish list. The next day I went in to purchase it. I put it in my cart and when I went to check out it said I had nothing in my cart and below that it said the item was sold out. OK, that happens. The next day it came up as a lunchtime special, same thing. Why offer a special you cannot purchase. I even did an online chat to see if it was in fact sold out. She apologized and said she would have it fixed to sold out....It is still being offered as a special price that you cannot purchase. I think the hope is we are ready to purchase an item and if we don't get the deal we will find something simlar.

Sorry, it's not happening.

The same happened to me many times -

Once I called QVC and asked about it, the cs person told me it was available and I purchased it on the phone!

The coupon did not work for me. I used to not mind only select customers received the coupon; however, it has been a couple years now that these coupons do not work for me. I was going to buy two pairs of jeans and a top last night and none of the coupon codes worked. So I bought nothing. The items were not clearance, as-is, etc.

Never seen a "waitlist" exclusion. I'm gonna start taking pics of my "waitlist" items and/or write down the item numbers then remove them off waitlist. This way I can purchase them w/my next coupon(s).

@coconut1818 - I just tried to use it on a food item and got this weird message:

"We’re unable to apply promo codes to your order at this time. To use a promo code, please try again later."

Never seen anything like that before!

(Another glitch in the system?)

UPDATE: I just tried to use the coupon code and it let me enter it but, of course, told me it didn't apply to me or what I was trying to buy. I think it's the "select customer" thing again. But at least the system is fixed.

@Mz iMac are you confusing waitlist with wishlist? Most companies will not let you use a coupon on an item that isn't availbale. If the item is on waitlist it isn't available.
