Toni Says Happy Easter

Toni is wearing her pink dotted Swiss dress for Easter. It has puffed sleeves and a Peter Pan color trimmed with French lace. At her waist is

insert lace with mint green satin ribbon.

This dress is lined with pink cotton and has an

attached slip.

Her outfit is completed with her pink patent leather shoes.

Toni says Happy Easter and Happy Spring.

Her dress reminds me of the style I wore as a child for my " Easter " outfit . Yes, I always had a hat and a fancy dress and shoes.

Thank you all very much. Dressing Toni for Easter reminded me of the days when I dressed up and later when I dressed my three daughters for Easter and to go to church.

Many of us remember those days with a new dress and shoes.

New spring hats, gloves and a little purse were all part of our outfits. Living in the northeast, many times we had a new spring coat.

One year I made matching capes for my daughters to wear over their dresses. I made most of their dresses when they were little. I loved making the dresses in pretty pastel spring colors.

I also dressed my two boys in new suits, but did not make their clothes.

Easter was fun when they were little, coloring Easter eggs,

their excitement to see what the Easter Bunny left in their baskets and dressing up for Easter Sunday Mass.

Then we always had a nice Easter dinner with grandparents. I enjoyed making holidays special for my family.

When you told of making a capes for your daughters , that reminded me of an old family photo of my Aunt & Grand Mother from Easter 1941 . My Grand Mother was a blessed seamstress and she had made a wool cape for her youngest daughter as part of an Easter outfit !

@Enufstuff - Toni looks so cute! Her dress, shoes, and bouquet are just perfect for this day. I especially love the mint green touch in her flowered sash.

I can picture her carrying her basket full of candy! I hope she found a chocolate bunny in her basket!
