For Real?

Tonight on the Jai show Jill mentioned that if the necklace flips over to just go with the flow and be carefree. I'm sorry but for $250.00 that would be a no go for me.

Hi, @Bonkers1 I watched the midnight presentation briefly and they talked about the flipping of the stones, so they knew there was an issue and just "sold around it." For me, I know it would bother me enough that I wouldn't be happy.

i have one Jai bracelet that says Faith in script. When I first got it it fit well and never flipped. I bought the small according to my wrist measurements. Now it flips around all the time unless I have my watch on which seems to limit its movement. I've never taken it off so don't know if it now measures larger. I wouldn't have thought the metal would stretch with wear.

Why? The stones are still visible from the other side.

If you turned your engagement ring inside out, would you still see the stone(s)? Doubtful....

@Lucky Charm If it turns upside down you would see the point of the stone. That would drive me crazy. I had a diamond necklace like that and the stones turned over more than it didn't. I ended up returning it.

Flipping stones are a turn-off for me too. There is a way to cut the stones so they are flat on both sides yet still faceted for sparkle. That's what they should have done.

Jill kept mentioning that she was wearing a smaller size in the bracelet so it wouldn't flip. I know some people wear their bracelets much like a watch, I however prefer them loose and would be concerned about "flippage." For that same reasons I don't buy bracelets that are graduated, which in my opinion are only made so they look heftier than they really are. In reality when you're wearing them they are always upside down. The same with bracelets that have one center stone or bead: always upside down.

@Pecky Sorry, my mistake, I watched a bit of the show and I understood it to mean the stones were faceted on both sides and it appeared that way.

But, obviously, I was wrong.

I watched the show, but have no interest in sterling silver jewelry, so maybe I wasn't really paying attention. Sorry.
