Not seeing a pic. That bridge is scary enough on a sunny day! My fave area though. Hubby and I loved to stay in St. Pete Beach every year and go to Spring Training.

For some reason that bridge terrifies me. I would drive miles out of the way to avoid it.

Wow! What a great shot of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. I live in the Tampa Bay area and have been over this bridge many times. Going over it makes me nervous but it is so much better now that an eight-foot metal barrier was added along the sides of the high-level spans of the bridge. It feels a little safer now...

Amazing picture. I looked at it and it seems as if there's a vehicle almost dead center.

I've never heard of this bridge, but I'm going to look for other photos to see what the rest of it is like.

The original Sunshine Skyway bridge was the scene of a major disaster in May of 1980 when a freighter collided with a center support pier of the bridge during a storm. A center section of the bridge collapsed sending a Greyhound bus and other vehicles into the Tampa Bay. Thirty five people lost their lives that day. When I would go to this area of Florida I hated driving over that bridge. It scares me to death.

How bout crossing the Chesapeake Bay bridge in winds or even during a tornado!

This isn't my picture but gives a good idea. My sister and I did drive across during a tornado and drove as fast as we could-will never forget that! (We didn't know of the weather coming at all. Driving to see my father.)

Blessed Mother of Bob Dylan scary. The Golden Gate is fogged often. Traffic can be so slow. You can see any cars in front of you. But not nearly as bad as the fog tht twnds to lay low along Highway 5 in California between Bakersfield and Los Banos. Omg, you can't see a foot ahead, can't pull over it's terrifying

I lost a dear nursing classmate from Pennsville, NJ in that tragic incident. I found out later because my husband's 10 year old daughter passed away later that month and we did not know immediately at the time of the bridge accident. To this day I feel terrible for Dolores and her husband and for ALL lost!!! May God bless all of them!!!

@Zhills My stomach just went into knots... I guess driving over the bridge with my eyes closed is not an option if I am the driver. lol
