Olympics opening ceremony

Gotta tell you, I sobbed my way through Andrea Bocelli. Sobbed.

And, figure skating fan that I am, I was so thrilled to see Lilah Fear as Flag bearer for Great Britain and Olivia Smart for Spain.

Absolutely spectacular show! Very impressive and moving.

I may even watch some of it again tonight.

Having the Parade of Athletes at four different locations was genious and unprecedented.

I admire the tradition of raising the Olympic flag and singing the Olympic Anthem.

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the ceremonies . I don't know what has changed about me but I have no interest in watching the games this time around. I used to be a big fan, especially of the skating, but this year no. It's fine , but I just don't understand what has changed. 🤷‍♀️

I'm going to veer off a little, but one of my favorite ice dance teams is Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson from Great Britain. Lilah was chosen to be one of their two flag bearers. What a thrill. I just saw this on Facebook.

@QVCkitty1 Agree 100%. I too used to love watching the Games but this year except for ice skating, I have very little interest in it. I think I know why it's changed for me but good for those who continue to enjoy it.

Love her! Don't even remember her from past Olympics, but watched her on Special Forces. I will be watching her events.

I thought they were only tonight didn't realize it was already shown. Not into the Olympics , Just the skating . Will watch the opening being it being in Italy and hearing Bocelli who's voice i love!

Why do people post on threads that are of no interest to them? I know...because they can. But there are hundreds of threads here every day, that don't interest me, and I simply skip them.

i watched on and off this afternoon, but was interrupted many times.

i am watching it again so i can really see everything.

it is spectacular and beautiful.

have loved everything about it so far!

the music, the fashion, the color, the dance, the italian history, the sites, and most of all the WORLD coming together in one place!
