The garden shows are already beginning! Oh well, another reason not to watch. And tomorrow all day "beauty" items. I think not. Going to be saving alot of money.

The garden shows must begin sometime in February at the latest because it takes months for nurseries to grown plants for the upcoming season. They have to know how much to plant.

Even home gardeners are ordering seeds now and will be planting them inside shortly. My local nursery sent me coupons to use to buy bulbs and seeds to use in February.

It's quite normal and makes sense to me.

Beauty Shows? Really? In all the years I've watched I've never seen too many beauties emerge from the products that are sold.

What else can be programmed in the first quarter of the year. Seems very logical to me. Retail must always look months and months forward. That's been my experience; Valentines Day candy isn't enough.

These are exceptionally difficult months for all retailers. It's a tightrope. Much too late to feature winter clothing; most consumers aren't ready for Spring apparel. Anyone who's worked in some aspect of retail is familiar with this time of year. New items for new seasons.

Home goods, skincare, food and garden preparation seem like safe selections. Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma have opened the Easter Shops if that softens the blow.

Anyone who has stocked seeds and Easter candy in late January-early February gets it. If you haven't worked retail, I guess you don't or won't.

I've been receiving my garden catalogs since the end of December. The new gardening shows are appropriate for everyone planning their gardens and home decor for Spring and Summer. Also, it's fun to contemplate the joys of seeing things growing in your garden. And, I'm a dedicated lover of all things snow.

As @Carmie mentioned, gardeners are ordering their seeds. Some of the rarer seeds sell out early, so I've already ordered (and received) my specialty tomato and basil seeds.

I don't buy a whole list of what most department stores sell, and certainly very littleof Amazon's offerings. But just because that's true certainly doesn't mean I am saving an exrra

Spring in Arizona is like 3 weeks then another miserable hot summer sets in until October. Ugggg. To soon for the cool weather to go away.

the daffodils and bulbs are popping up all over. I even have some begonias and impatiens popping up from last year. Gues it wasn't cold enough yet to totally kill them off

Love planning new layouts for around the deck. Spring is the best time of year. All the bulbs the deer won't eat should be back.

Our weather here in western WA has been very spring like recently--even saw buds on trees already--birds are out chirping like it is spring--weather has been dry, in the low 50's and partly sunny, nights are chilly but the snow pack is not good, too warm. Had atmosphereic rivers one after another in Dec with horrible flooding--now it is June-uary---.

We all have different QVC shows we like, and don't like. I can't tolerate the cooking/food shows, so never turn on QVC on Wednesdays and Sundays. Different strokes...........

When I picked up my prescriptions at Wal-Mart I noticed garden seed packages are out. People here like to start their plants inside, early. I choose to buy my plants started, but if one has a large garden it would be expensive.
