So sad to hear this. I loved his comics. He was so funny and creative. May he RIP, gone way too soon. Age 68 from metastatic prostate cancer.

In one strip, the title character is awarded a promotion “with no extra pay, just more responsibility,” because “it’s how we recognize our best people.” In another, he’s presented with an “employee location device” — a dog collar.

Mr. Adams pinned a letter on 1/1/26 to be read after his passing. I just read it on People magazine. I do remember the comic strip but I was never a follower, rest well.

Wry, subtle humor and satire with which anyone who's occupied a "cubicle" could intensely relate.

While very, very frail, he was cheerful and engaged to the end, despite the ravages of a particularly fierce cancer that had him in and out of the hospital, sometimes with paralysis, and finally in hospice.

Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was a friend, traded quips with him on youtube just a few days ago. Scott Adams died with uncommon grace. God speed.

His second carreer as a podcaster is as important as his Dilbert contribution. His book "Reframe Your Brain" helped thousands of people take the bad things that happen in life and reframe them and put them to good use. His podcasts over the past year showed that it is possible to live life to the fullest even when dealing with a terminal disease. He continued his podcast as long as possible and was online yesterday talking and laughing with his viewers. He was the "internet dad" to those of us who watched him daily. He will be missed.

sad to hear this. I am sure he suffered, so he is not suffering now. Which is a good thing.

Weird...I don't know if a post of mine was poofed or I didn't actually hit post. I looked up the cancer drug he was requesting.

It must be $$$ but only adds about 4.5 months. I don't know how I'd feel about that if I were in that position.

Respectfully, that isn't what he said. His comments were taken out of context from a conversation about a poll that had been recently released on the topic. He held no prejudicial views towards anyone.

Thank you for saying that because I asked my duck.ai and I still don't understand what happened. Sounded confusing.

I wasn't reading comics or listening to podcasts then. My husband passed in 2022 and I was not in a good place in 2023 and not on social media or here either; I know this is considered social media too. In fact, 2024 is a blur.

So excuse my ignorance everyone for starting a controversial thread.

If anyone feels strongly enough, by all means ask a motderator to send this thread to the dust bin. 😢
