I think the count of items remaining in a certain size, color, or pattern is quite useful and don't mind being given as much information about an offering's particulars at all.

I know that David often says that the color that makes you smile doesn't matter when announcing that it has sold out

or is in danger of doing so, but I ONLY buy an item if it will go in my color scheme and so knowing my chances are getting limited will help me decide whether to pounce or pass.

I find the count remaining on a certain size, color or style very helpful when deciding to buy something or not.

If you don't like the item in the first place, I guess it doesn't matter, but I find myself many times trying to choose between colors.

First ... Welcome!

Secondly, while you can find it annoying, many people find the information useful.

We all have our complaints with QVC presentations.

Personally, mine is when they omit exact fabric count percentages. Instead of saying "it's a cotton blend", I want to hear it's 60% cotton, 30% polyester and 10% lycra.

However much one pleads, it will never, ever change so long as there are QVC broadcasts.

It's a crucial part of the sales script to create a sense of urgency and importance.

I always like and appreciate HSN's "countdown meter", which shows number remaining. It has definitely propelled me to order if I was on the fence about something.

It's a useful, valid sales tool with proved value.

If it is announced that something is close to selling out and they tell me how many are left, it will prompt me to make a decision.

Like excessive sheet flapping or hosts wearing only Eagles garments.

@Luvstobake. The purpose is to transmit a sense of urgency. It's a sales technique and they're unlikely to ever discontinue it.

It's used as a time filler. Hosts really need to do a better job of prepping for their shows. They struggle filling the time because they know little about the product.

Definitely, a thing of the past we can all live without. How can this company go forward with such a useless annoying salespitch . It just encourages me to change the channel .

"Only order of the Year " just as awlful

Wish All the Hosts would stop using " throw this or that on " along with excessive use of the word And , And , And

Can't they say we have this color blue along with yellow green ect .

@nascarfan .. I think for the most part the hosts are knowledgeable about the products. But, I think they spend too much time on each presentation. How much can you say about a piece of clothing? They should shorten each presentation and make room to add another item.

I think the reason so much time is spent on many products is that the Q has too much of the item in stock and it's not 'moving'. The hosts have to drum up something to say to fill up the ridiculous amount of time spent waiting for customers to buy what they just don't want.

@nascarfan I wouldn't mind if during the presentation, they actually look at the fabric content tag and tell us what the fabric consists of AND how to launder. That would fill some time.

It's got to be difficult to fill up an hour on a blouse and a pair of slacks. Good grief.
