QVC Pricing?

Want to add/replace some Christmas lights, etc. While retail stores are selling Christmas decor at half price or so, the Q prices on these items have actually increased. I was expecting to see reduced prices instead of increases. I don't understand the Q's pricing. This happens on other products as well and I'm not talking about one day or one time only items. Oh well, moving on.

Yes, prices went up on the 26th. I had my eye on 2 items; one is now $7 more and the other is just over $10. Not ordering either.

I have a feeling they're holding back 2 of my AD food items because both are now offered with smaller portions and higher pricing.

I received an email telling me the items are back ordered and will be dayled or cancelled if they can't fill them.

Meanwhile the both items are available as I described above ... more $$$.

This has happened to me several times already. Nothing new.

You can call customer service, tell them the situation and you'd like to place a new order (as long as it is identical in quantity etc) for the older price and they will adjust once shipped.

@Biftu I don't know what specific decor pieces you have been wanting, but I suspect over the next few weeks there will be more price drops/clearance added.

Since you are wanting Christmas type of items, you may want to check 'As Is'. Another suggestion is keeping the item/s in your wishlist and maybe they will have deeply discounted prices for them around the Christmas in July period.

There are a few items in my wishlist I am waiting for price drops.

Their seasonal pricing is a head scratcher. Last week I was looking at some Halloween decor. You would think they would want to clear the inventory rather than hold on to it.

Why is this company struggling? Hummmm.

Talk about clearing inventory.....I shop mostly kitchen stuff on clearance and/or on free shipping days or if a good sale. Rarely is there something that I just have to have. I've seen some items on clearance that have been there forever but never see a price reduction. I have two items that I got on final sale for $12.99 and $13.99 in February 2024 and they are still $12.99 and $13.99!!! That's almost two years! If no one has bought them by now the chances are that no one will. To your point, "why is this company struggling?" Just my opinion. 🌹

It's not just QVC, as we all know. But, I won't be buying anything from QVC any time soon, if ever again. There are a couple QVC programs I enjoy watching, but will buy locally with coupons if I buy anything at all.

@tototwo i find it is QVC. At retail when something is marked down it doesn't go back up in price and may even go lower. Christmas decor is at least 50% off after Christmas but the Q's decor has actually gone up in price and so have other items.

Online shopping is not for everyone. Nothing wrong with shopping locally.

@San Antonio Gal - I've bought plenty from QVC since its inception, but recently I find their items too expensive compared to other retailers, online and local.

HSN always has "real" sales, while Q has always tried to get the most out of their items.

What makes it bad, you have to watch the Q bring it out again and again as customers are waiting for a real sale price.

I don't need anything, but I can't pass up a great sale.

@San Antonio Gal Just looking to replace some battery operated outdoor lights. They are not easy to find. Though I've only been in a Walmart once, I doubt they would carry what I'm looking for. Not that important.
