I just have to tell someone. I typed my starting word in and it was the word ! This is the first time for me and I'm irrationally pleased by it. Have any of you guessed it in one ?

I haven't played Wordle in a long time. The best I did was solve on the 3rd try. WOW!!! You are awesome! Go buy yourself a holiday present just for you.

Just once....within the past year. I used the word "heart" and when it turned all green I was screaming. It was thrilling.

Yes, it happened. It will never happen again because I still use that same word as my starting word every time.

That was a feat, especially on today's word.

I have never done my first, but I have a couple wins on the second try.

That is very cool. Once I got it on the second try and I was astonished. I don't play anymore as I am currently obsessed with the NYT's Spelling Bee for some reason. It takes me longer to play than Wordle but that is not a bad thing.

I don't play Wordle any longer but I did do that once. About a year prior, a co-worker told me the word he always started with so I started using the same word. Lo and behold, several months later, that was the word so I got it on my first try. What's really funny is the wife of another (former) co-worker posted on Facebook that she had gotten it on the first try that day too.

Exciting isn't it? It has happened to me twice and guessing on the second word about a half dozen times! I start with a different word everyday!

I am also a fan of Connections and Spelling Bee!

Should I admit how much time I have on my hands. I play 10 different games every morning! I think I learned of a couple from @QVCkitty1 .

@QVCkitty1 - I play this every morning! I have a 98% win rate. I've never guessed it in one, but have guessed it in two 21 times. I don't pay to play it.

@VanSleepy , I'm retired so I start my day playing these word games. I love to hear how others enjoy them !

@Katrinka23 Have you tried Lexamid , it is a timed game and you make words out of a group of letters .

I did once but can't remember the word...maybe world.

Thanks I haven't heard of that game. I do play Shuffalo in the New Yorker. Anything to keep this old brain working!

@QVCkitty1 Way to go! That's never happened to me. I fluctuate between a few starting words, but they are never the word. I have to agree with @Laura14 , that's a very unusual starting word. The best I've ever done is the second word. Today it took me 3 tries after my first word.

That happened to me once a few years ago. And the angels sang! LOL I really get how stunning this can feel. Congratulations! I have gotten a few "Twoordles", which is also fun.

I love playing Wordle every morning! My first guess word was STARE. I have 44 second guesses and 187 third guesses with a 98% win.

It really helps to use Wordle Used Words, so you are not constantly guessing already used words. I did that for a while, frustrating.
