@AuntG Deciduous trees do shed their leaves, but they don't turn beautiful colors first. I used to have oak trees in front of my house and they always waited until Dec. to lose their leaves, falling on all of the Christmas decorations! Disclaimer: I'm in NOLA, not Florida.

@Zhills yes they are slowly making their way back down here to Central Florida! Restaurants, grocery stores and roads are getting crowded again. All good though. They keep our economy going.....

@AuntG great question. Depends on what part of Florida you live in. Northern Florida has trees like Maples that change around December. Leaves start dropping on the oaks next monrh. Gets very barren and sad looking in the winter. Pines stay green all year, thankfully! Central Florida has different trees, they are starting to change colors. The pampas grass is starting to turn a pretty shade of lavender. The trees will start shedding their leaves and it's kind of barren until February/March.

@Citrine1 Ha, it was over my head too until just this instant when the light popped on! I'm guessing it means Florida's fall colors are all the license plate colors from the snowbirds driving in for the warmer weather.

(We don't see nearly that diversity in state plates where I live in OR.)

I can't see the photo. It's just showing as a square box. I am on a chromebook. I restarted the computer and cleared the browsing history but that didn't help. Would love to see it, as I love the fall. Thank you.

It's license plates from all 50 states (minus FL and I guess including DC?).

Americans who migrate to Florida for the warmer winter weather or at least visit.

My husband will be one of them in 2 weeks to volunteer in a golf tournament.

@Zhills . thanks for posting this. I have no idea why I don't see anything in your original post. But it does happen occasionally.
