how do you block those annoying pop up ads to sign up for a Q card?

I'm sure this has been discussed before but a search didn't locate anything recent.

that pop up ad to sign up for a Q card is the most annoying thing ever and I don't know how to stop it.

if it was just occasional it wouldn't be so bad, but this is way beyond occasional.

I have a MacBook Pro.

does anyone know how to block them?

I just posted about this on the thread "Will It Ever End" talking about this same so annoying pop-up.

I don't know either-I've tried blocking pop-ups in settings, 3rd party cookies and have adblock. I still get them.

Some have tried a free app or extension supposedly to block pop-ups, but say they still get it.

I agree-so annoying and excessive coming on so often.

I just can't reconcile paying to remove adds and pop-ups.

Another solution is not to come so often to an annoying website. I think that defeats the pop-ups purpose but I'm sure QVC will keep on with these not great ideas.

I know they are not the only business that does this, but I've never had one "pop-up" as often as it does here.

@on the bay Then this is your choice to accept the ads, I choose to pay for an ad and pop-up blocker. The cost is worth every penny to me but we each have different different tolerance levels.

I have a Macbook Pro and don't get those ads. Here's what I did.

Open the internet

Click on Safari icon/name in top left corner

Click on settings,

Click on Websites

Turn on and off the popups for whatever sites are listed.

• If Q isn't listen, install a reputable ad blocker from the App Store. I use Malware bytes.

I know, and you're right. My choice has been to accept them, as I've

said already.

I've read many say they have the adblock plus or another ad/pop-up blocker and it doesn't eliminate them completely. Or that the "free" ones only eliminate more when you pay for more. Do you find that yours does eliminate all?

I guess it's not really that important when it comes down to it.

I think I just did it!

I am using a chromebook so a lot of the suggestions (and thank you to those who supplied them trying to help did not apply. I just kept looking under settings and tried some things.

I went to settings,

privacy and security,

site settings,

added qvc.com to block ad/pop-up option,

added community.qvc.com,

and another wrote out itself as

qvc%20community.com so added that

then refresh the page to have new settings activated!

fingers crossed.

But you know the things we have to go through to manage this site is ridiculous isn't it! I like to try to figure things out but I'm not especially computer savy though I do like to keep trying on my own device.

I still can only be able to see pictures or the @ a person if I'm signed out, but can't when signed in. I seem to be the only one this affects. This has been going on for a few months. I've researched and tried everything. I never had this problem before a few months ago. I read that sometimes a new software from the business may not be compatible with mine so just another thing to have to accept if using this delightful website.

If nothing else this was a nice distraction being relentless and not thinking about other stuff, which I'm sure others can relate to.

You have to sign into the forums, so they should know if you're an existing customer or not, but they still bombard us with the same ads. It gets a little tedious.

I have AdGuard on all except my Kindle.

I do not get any popups or ads.

It is free.

If we are going online and don't use a blocker, we should expect pop ups. That's the way of it.

Thanks so very much for the info, I'm on Windows 11 laptop, I had already added qvc.com...but I'll also add the community setting to see if that helps....thanks again

I see zero pop-up ads here or on any site that I visit. ZERO. But again, it's a decision each of us make. In addition I use Duck Duck GO on many sites.

But when you have Ad/popupblocker and you STILL get them then its irritating....

Something thats a little bit off the subject.....On You Tube its a violation to use an AD Blocker, but they have ads soliciting AD Blockers.... 😂

Yes,

for all those saying use an adblocker, free or paid, they are not blocking the pop-ups for some.

It wasn't until I did what I posted a few posts ago that I got rid of them. while my adblocker did not prevent them.

So as much as some solutions work for some, they don't for everyone and that seems to be the norm on these QVC websites.

(And @Spurt, I've noticed the adblock ads in youtube also).

Its annoying when companies find a way to work around the technology of AD/POPUP BLOCKERS, but dont give the same effort to find a way to not irritate their existing customers 🤔

And it shows the hypocrisy of You Tube 😂

I'm so sorry!

That is the maddening thing about this website. Sometimes nothing we do or try what others say, works. Some say they never have any problem or suggest this or that but nope! Nothing works.

The only thing I found comforting after trying over and over to fix my

problem with not seeing the images when signing in,(and still unable to fix), is reading that sometimes the new software that

a company installs does not work for everyones individual device.

And even people with the same device can have no problems, while others do!

I'm really surpised I was able to get rid of that annoying pop-up but not through any adblocker which I already had.

It's the twilight zone around here.
