QVC Product Recall Email

Today I received an email from QVC stating that a recall was issued on a product I purchased. In order to get more information about the product I had to go through the "are you Human test". after selecting the appropriate images I press confirm but was looped back to the test again. I know I selected the correct images, however, the looping continued without advancing to the product information and I never got to see what product was recalled. I'm curious to know what product was recalled and why. Has anyone else received this email and did you have the same experience?

@Lyttlewyng The doors could close accidently and burn your arms.

I think they will send you a repair kit to correct the problem.

Description:

This recall involves Oster French Door Countertop Ovens with model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF and TSSTTVFDDAF. The recalled ovens have a spring-loaded bilateral door made of glass with metal handles. A label on the backside of the oven identifies the model number. In addition, the original packaging has information identifying the model number. The four models differ in cooking options (e.g., air fryer) and control types (analog dials or digital push-button controls). “Oster” is engraved on the front bottom right of the oven.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled countertop ovens and contact Sunbeam Products Inc. to receive a free repair kit. The repair kit will include a clip-on device that provides additional holding force to help keep the doors in the open position when reaching in the oven, along with repair instructions and a QR code link to an installation video. The repair kit does not require any tool to install.

Incidents/Injuries:

Sunbeam Products Inc. has received 95 reports of the doors unexpectedly closing, resulting in burn injuries to consumers, including two reports of second-degree burns.

Sold At:

Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, Walmart and other stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and Overstock.com from August 2015 through July 2025 for between $140 and $250.

It seems relatively easy and inexpensive to fix. It's a clip that adds to the stability of the door. No tools needed. Why would they be kidding? The last thing I want to do is ship the oven back and wait for another one or a refund. I have no issues with mine, but I'm getting the clip anyway.

She loves to bash QVC, so now she can bash Sunbeam/Oster.

I think she has a thing against large corporations.

The fix is extremely practical and sensible and seems easy and the consumer doesn't need to dispose of the item! That doesn't always happen.

I got the email, never bought the oster oven, endless hat and bucket pictures with never getting to recall info. Makes me question if qvc sent it.

Hello Everyone that purchased the Oster French Door Countertop Oven for almost $200 and is it hazard by evidience of the voluntary recall. Has anyone received the part? We've been waiting since receiving the notice from QVC early October 2025. I am wondering why it is voluntary and no mechanism for enforcement to remedy the situation and more importantly disappointed that QVC the vendor does not intervene on our behalf. Not good.
