I think they've probably improved the quality of faux leather lately, and as another poster said, Dennis Basso and other real designers would use the best they can find. However, I can't help but think that wearing faux leather close to the body would feel like plastic wrap. Maybe for outer wear?

This brings back dreadful memories of me as a teen looking like a miserable puppy in some weird UltraSuede outfit my mother thought was just the hot thing.

When I really just wanted a flannel shirt, jeans and Frye boots.

I have seen some faux leather that was really very nice. I have a friend that is a clothing designer and she has some that is great. She has made me a few acceessories with the scraps from her designs. I have a belt with a matching flower she designed for me. I makes all my oiutfits pop! I

The old faux leather was awful. I ordered a pair of Kim's. We'll see how it goes. I've said many times that I'm a fabric snob, so I don't really know what to expect. I'll let you know.

@NEvans2 FYI, the biggest complaint was that the pants make noise wvhen you walk. Another was they ran big. This was under the reviews.

Faux leather isjust plastic. I wouldn't buy it...not even a handbag.

I have purchased some faux suede items and think it's okay and like that it is washable.

I was thinking about getting a pair until I read the reviews..... I passed. You may want to read some of them.. Now I know why they are marked down.

Not sure I would buy any more faux leather. I had one jacket for several years and the faux leather started peeling away in certain areas.

Not a big fan in any format, but some is better than others and I do occasionally purchase and use a piece here or there.
