Q is still selling Blendjet but the company went out of business May 2025 after the recall. No mention on tonight's show that Blendjet can't honor any warranties. No wonder it's only $19+. Gee whiz - makes me really trust Q - NOT!

Plus, Blendjet is not honoring any previous recall remedy (replacement base) for the BlendJet2. The company said to just through them away!

How in the world could any reputable company sell a blender that has a fire hazard or blades snapping off?! And it seems like it is the same Blender Jet 2 that QVC is selling now.

Reputable is certainly a key word. One by one Q is putting a nail in my qvc purchasing coffin. Trust is very hard to win back.

@on the bay Maybe the same way that Temptations sold oven mitts that were reportedly not close to flame proof and then created major chaos and hoops to get a refund? And the same way QVC continues to sell Temptations bakeware despite many reports of cracking and breaking in the oven? No wonder so many Temptations Products appear on Lunchtime and Primetime Specials.

Wow! A few years ago I bought 3 of these blenders as a TSV. I returned all three. It had the power of an eggbeater. Horrible product all around.

Sadly, QVC is not what it use to be.

Yes and why they still sell things, toys included with 1 star reviews that say it doesn't work!

All the while saying how wonderful it all is. I really hate to see this.

DH bought me one of these 2 years ago for Christmas and it has a bad part. He e-mailed them many times and they occasionally e-mailed back and said they would mail a replacement part. They never did. I forget what he paid for it but it was a lot more than $19!!!!

@spabar Units with the first four digits of the serial number between 5201 and 5542 are subject to the recall.

So according to Rick then, the serial numbers for the ones QVC sells are not the ones above. At least in the online description, QVC should definitely be more candid about the difference in serial numbers for the model they're selling.

The Blendjet company is out of business, so there's no warranty no matter what the serial number is.

I was going to leave a comment about Rick but then thought about it. I feel sorry for these hosts that have to "omit important facts" because that's what the head honchos dictate. I'm sure the hosts want to keep their jobs and so must walk a delicate line to stay true to their morals. The blame is totally on QVC. SHAME!!

What did he leave out? If Rick said the ones being sold are not the same ones that were recalled, what else was he supposed to say?

Also, the company still has a website, so someone is actively managing the site. If someone bought one here at QVC and it broke, QVC would have to take the return anyway. Even so:

on their still active website, it says they have a 30 day warranty, which is basically the same as QVC.

Not sorry to hear they went out of business because the product was junk. The one I bought could not deal with frozen fruit and liquid at all. It seized up and stopped working most of the time. It seemed to overheat the motor. I'd have to let it "rest' for a few hours, then it would work again. However, after the last time it happened, it didn't work after the 'rest' so I put it away and forgot about it. Recently, I was rearranging my kitchen and found it. I took the time to recharge it but when I turned it on, it still wasn't working (it was empty, just wanted to see if it worked). The motor was totally burned out. I threw it away. I didn't know that it had been recalled until I saw this post, LOL.
