It's A Tropical Heatwave !!

It's 91 here in the St. Louis area right now ( 4:21 CT) but it feels like around 107 per the weatherman ! They anticipate the upper 90's in the next few days but it will feel more like 110. There have been spots of rainfall (not in my immediate area) I went out earlier today but back home by 10 and not going out anymore today ! How's the heat or rain where you are ? In New York City, it is 78 degrees, very low humidity. Feels wonderful. Tomorrow may be slightly warmer. But on Thursday, more humidity, higher temps in the 80s. On Friday, very humid, high 90s; should feel like 104 degrees. Humid and hot throughout the weekend.

I am enjoying my actual 91 degrees feels like Satan temps.

Starting Sunday, we are forecasted for 97 degrees through the beginning of next week.

Tuesday morning 7/22 it was 48 degrees here in upstate NY..It got to about 70..The heat is expected back in a day or 2.

In Arizona it's usually around 105 plus for weeks on end with lows in the 90's. We've been having days in the 90's and lows in the 70's and 80's. Not to bad for Arizona. Now if only it would rain.

California, near Silicon Valley. cooler, like 72 and breezy here. But, sept and Oct seem to be hottest months. So not holding my breath . This is unusual for us, but things have changed

Here in NE PA the last 2days have been great, finally. In the 70s and no humidity. We turned the AC off and just had fans. Last night it was downright chilly. I turned the fans off in the LR. I was on the couch watching a movie. I had to put socks on. I hate cold feet.

Tomorrow the heat and humidity return bur we sure have enjoyed this brief relief.

I'm ready for fall. Nice cool mornings and sunny afternoons.

Here where I live in the Bay Area its 67 and overcast all day. Very pleasant. September and October are our hottests months so I'm sure this will change. I hope not as I love the weather we've been having but I'm sure we'll get the heat at some point.

@Goodie2shoes have you got your electric bill yet? We went from $83 last month to $202 this month.I know there was a rate hike but this heat is a budget breaker in south county ST Louis!

Mine went from $203 last month to $456 this past month (June) and our hottest month is always August.

our electric bill is already reflecting the central Florida heat. In August it will be a pip. Around $250 typically. But... still less than our Michigan winter gas heating bills. So I really can't complain

Where I live our summer temps can reach upwards of 118-120's so we are as prepared as one can be anyway, for scorching summer temperatures. For those that aren't accustomed or ill equipped for exceedingly high temperatures, my heart goes out to you and your precious furbabies. Keep hydrated, stay indoors during peak hours and please don't let your furbabies outdoors unsupervised for more than a few minutes at a time for potty breaks as they have higher body temps and much fewer sweat glands Take care everyone ❤️

This afternoon it was 95 in North Georgia when I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. The parking lot felt like an oven. We got about 10 rain drops today. Tomorrow's high will be a bit cooler 85 with a little better chance of rain.

yes, my bill was doubled !! I'm in West County. I expect it to be even higher next billing of course. After this week it's suppose to be a little cooler for a while. I'm looking forward to it ! My heart goes out to the workers trying to tarp roofs

and continue to clear the tree damage and tons of debris left from the May Tornado in the north city area. Stay safe from the heat !

Grew up in NJ with heat and humidity in the summers. Moved to No. CA over 40 years ago and had great summers, rarely needing AC (Bay area). Now for the past 17 years I have been living in So. CA desert and it is as hot as ******. Forget the "no humidity" nonsense, it is like a blast furnace when you step out the door. My electric bill was over $300 this past month and the hottest weather has not arrived yet. It was 120 on my grandson's birthday the first week in July. Last year the temperature reading in my car went to 126- the highest I have ever seen since living here. You can't do anything outside except swim in a pool or run from the air conditioned car to an air conditioned building. I get sick of hearing people talk about how it is a "dry heat" and not so bad. Well, guess what, it is!!!!
