If I were a business, I would do the exact same thing they are doing. Think about it, what if the item returned is damaged and unsellable? Worse, what if someone sends back a pkg. with nothing in it? Then it's a real hassle on their end to get their money back if they already refunded the buyer. Some companies like Amazon refund it right away, but I bet they have alot of loss doing this. They are so big they can afford to, but most businesses are not that fortunate. Not to mention, these kind of loses, which are considered theft in any way you look at it, costs all of us in the end.

This is hard to believe but once I ordered some essential oils from vendor in NY a small shop. Item didn't come for a few weeks. They asked I wait a few more days and they woukd replace. I waited, didn't come they had to eat it, and replace. I got it in 3 days. Then A little ove ONE YEAR LATER, here is this package on my doorstep. It was USPS, small box, the postal stamp on front over a year previous. No kidding, my mailman said they just got it. IDK where it was but it was found , and made its way to me. I forwarded the box back to sender. It CAME BACK, as business had moved. lol. Good grief.

When I did, you paid Ebay upfront for the right to list. I can't remember how much but not a lot. Paypal is where you pay a percentage and they will get their cut.

So, a seller pays the listing fee. The item sells, paypal automatically takes their money and deposits the rest into the seller's account.

Since most people disagreed with my OP, I guess I just assumed!!! most people are as honest as I am and would never think of sending an empty box back to the retailer.
