Help from a mod please

I placed an order for a garden hose almost 2 weeks ago. It has been in "preparing your order" purgatory all this time. Called CS and was told, rather abruptly, that the Ontario warehouse is having problems and he does not know when they will be able to ship anything. When I asked if he had ANY idea what I should do about this order he repeated that he had NO idea because Ontario won't tell THEM. He did say I could cancel the order. I prefer not to cancel. I ordered because I need it. Any news on when it might ship? TIA

Since shipping from Canada is a problem of late, you may wait some time and then Q may cancel your order. My suggestion would be for you to cancel and order from another company, Amazon would be my choice.

I thought I understood the problem to be Ontario California, not Canada. If you need a hose @cody2 then why wait and see. Cancel the order and order elsewhere. Q is not the only game in town.

I ordered from here because I saw it presented, and I need a hose that is light weight and doesn't kink. The other reason is that I had a Q credit to use from an item that I returned here. But yes. I will look elsewhere if this one isn't on its way to me soon.

Since they offered, I would also cancel the item too, get one from Amazon or Walmart.

I didn't even know there was an Ontario in California. Still, Q is known to be undependable so I would still cancel and look elsewhere.

@cody2 I had the same issue along with several others as shown in the Customer Care forum.

If he did not send a note to Ontario, have someone in the customer care forum do it for you. They did that for me and others and that seemed to shake it loose. I almost think Ontario can't see any orders except what is emailed to them to ship.

Two days after they did that, my orders are supposedly on their way to me and should arrive on Friday. Same for my friend.

Is there just one warehouse and it's in CA? Do all items come from there? I ordered a couple of clothing items on free shipping day and am wondering how long I'll have to wait.

There are other warehouses in the eastern part of the country. I think it depends on what you order and where you're located. My orders rarely come from the Ontario warehouse.

believe it or not, there are actually at least a dozen ONTARIOS in the USA.

@kaydee50 Both of my delayed items were LocknLock and Beekman. No clothes and I am on the East Coast. I know my friend ordered clothes, but I don't know what brand she ordered.

The best way to reach the mods and have your issue addressed is to EMAIL them w/ all the info

There is no guarantee they will see this and respond...sometimes they do, but email is what you should use.

interesting.....i am on the east coast and recently received all of my locknlock quickly from south carolina. ordered on 6/1 and received on 6/5.

@cody2 I feel your frustration. Been there , done that sorta thing. Sometimes you actually need something, never expecting this to happen.You mean Ontario Warehouse is holding your hose hostage??? lol. Not funny, but I believe it. Please go to BBB , search Ontario California warehouse and you will see what is going on. From the complaints to the better business bureau it seems the warehouse is rife with bad management, poor relations and irregular schedules. Not sure. But if you research this place it is not good. I am in California, about 300 miles from warehouse, and I have had pkgs held 2 weeks in limbo there.
I don't think from I read it's QVC fault totally. They may contract with them,

one thing is for sure, QVC needs to give us the ability to cancel items . Especially when they are limbo for 10 days. Idk about now, but qvc use to guarentee items in 10 work days.

@cody2 - I have been having a lot of orders held up at Ontario but they do end up shipping. Sometimes it takes almost 2 weeks. If you can wait, then I say wait for your hose, it will end up shipping.

FYI for those who don’t know, Ontario CA is a major distribution hub for many companies. QVC has a huge warehouse. It’s inland southern CA. They used to ship quickly from there so this is interesting.
