Oh yeah, my mom used them on me but we used clips and sponge rollers too. Every Saturday night after my bath so my hair would look good for church the next day.

I remember them, but didn't need them as I have naturally curly hair. I used to use that nasty chemical straightner. Ouch. Later on, use a flat iron, now just short hair with curls.

Even as a kid, I hated the tight curls they produced ... too cutesy Shirley Temple-ish for me.

My sister liked the curls, so I learned to use the sponge rollers as early as possible.

have one in her fingers and close it and pop it back open! (repeatedly) 😂

Yep, used them for a while, but the curl didn't hold.

I finally went to using brush rollers kept in place with a plastic pic. I still have an indentation on my upper forehead where the pick was.

My hair is super straight and nothing works to get it to curl more than maybe for an hour.

Yes, I loved those. I liked the popping/smoosh sound they made when you turn them inside out.

Never used them. Had straight hair from the 8th grade on, au natural, and had frizzy hair for just a year or two and then thought one day in a meeting, this hair GOES and the fake nail GO.

Got the perm straightened 2 weeks before Marcia Clark did during the big trial and was the talk of the town. The guy that did my hair told everyone in shouting distance that "we" did it before Marcia!
